Saw an inordinate amount of acorns on my bike ride today~according to
the Farmer's Almanac this is a sign of a rough winter ahead~ not sure
how I feel about that.

Took a walk by Jon's bench today and was greeted by this little fellow...
not the first time I've enjoyed the company of dragonflies there.

The plan was to pick apples but our favorite orchard has turned into an
theme park.... as if the joy of picking apples no longer suffices as
entertainment. These are from the farmers market.

Yup....new camera is in my future because although I was pretty
close to the stage, the lady next to me was getting better shots
with her phone! That being said, I love the way this came out.

More photos from Colorado!RL has been interfering with my photo a day quest so I'm sharing some more awesomness from my recent trip to Denver.

Nestled in the Rocky Mountain Foothills fifteen miles west of Denver, there stands a symbol of nature's unparalleled majesty. Red Rocks is a geologically formed, open-air Amphitheatre that is not duplicated anywhere in the world. With Mother Nature as the architect, the design of the Amphitheatre consists of two, three hundred-foot monoliths (Ship Rock and Creation Rock) that provide acoustic perfection for any performance. The Allman Brothers Band was playing~cool.

Yeah....had an earworm of John Denver singing Rocky Mountain High.
Rocky Mountains are amazing!

I know when you think Denver, you think Rocky Mountains, my
experience seems to have been about sculpture. This enormous blue bear peaking
into the Convention Center made me smile.

This sculpture in the lobby at the Hyatt in Denver caught my attention.
