For years I saw the same Black Crowned Night Heron every summer hanging out at the same bend in the river until last year when he didn't return. Imagine my joy when not one but three Black Crowned Night Herons have taken up residence at the same spot.

My good friend lost her battle with cancer today. This song is dedicated to her, I want
to thank Matt Duke for writing such a perceptive song. It's sad yet hopeful. I went to see him tonight at the Red Room with the hope he would sing it.
He did sing The Hour as well a rock an electric guitar! I love this kid!
