December 28~ART NOUVEAU PRAGUE

Alfons Mucha, a Czech artist and illustrator, became famous for
his Parisian prints of the actress Sarah Burnhardt. Mucha's
influence is felt around the city.

My favorite Mucha work is the stain glass window he created for the St Vitus Cathedral.
Stunning!

Mucha designed the concert hall in the Municipal House, Prague's star
Art Nouveau attraction.

One of the most beautiful features of the Municipal House is Karel Spillar's
mosaic above the main entrance.

Interior of the Municipal house

Interior of Cafe´Imperial, eclectic art nouveau cafe, good food
great atmosphere.

The beauty of Prague is that you just don't know what treasure lies
around the corner....some examples.
